Our Xtralert Record A Bell is the perfect option for those who need or want to see who's at the door before opening it.

How Does It Work?

There are 3 main units that are included with the Record A Bell. There is the Door Unit, Indoor Portable LCD Display Unit, Charging Cradle (with AC Adapter). The Record A Bell Door Unit is mounted outside near the guest entrance. The Door Unit is equiped with color IR (for night vision) camera, a microphone, a speaker and a door bell button. The Door Unit needs to be mounted at about 59" (or face level with guests). In the event the camera can not be mounted in the ideal location, it is equiped with a tiltable (15 degree) and swivelable (15 degree) camera.

Once the Door Unit is mounted, the Portable Display Unit needs to be inserted into the Charging Cradle. Once a visitor arrives at your door, they will press the "call" button on your Door Unit. Your Door Unit will immediately take a picture of your visitor and your Portable LCD Display Unit will ring letting you know there is a guest at your door.

Once your Display Unit rings, a picture of your guest will be displayed on the 2" x 1.75" LCD Display. You then have the option to "Answer" the "Call" and speak directly to your guest via wireless 2-way communication, answer the door, or silently ignore your guest.

Not only can this be useful when you are home...but it can also be useful when you are away. Anytime the door bell rings, the unit takes a picture of your visitor. Now you know who stopped by even when you are not home!

Wireless transmission is rated at 300 feet line of sight. Please be aware that some situation may limit the amount of wireless transmission, which include but are not limited too, metal doors and shutters, walls with aluminum foil insulation, concrete or galvanized metal walls, wireless routers, microwave ovens, standard interior walls, etc. This unit shares a frequency band with a wide range of equipment: i.e. industrial, scientific and medical equipment, licensed and unlicensed low-poer radio transmitter such as those used for RFID applications in factories/warehouses and amateur ratio stations. Before use please confirm that no such equipment is in use in your vicinity.
